Bradley Walsh and Friends in Easter surprise Palladium extravaganza!
For one night only – Master of The Chase, Bradley Walsh will perform live on stage in the West End with Joe Pasquale, Shane Richie and Brian Conley to celebrate their decades-long friendship in showbiz.
In the tradition of ‘Tonight at The Palladium’, the UK’s modern-day Brat-Pack will team up for the first time to deliver the 21st century’s greatest variety show – Bradley Walsh and Friends – Live at The London Palladium on Easter Saturday, 30th March.
The “Brad-Pack”, who are to be accompanied by conductor Barry Robinson and his big band, have chosen the iconic 2,300 Colosseum of British entertainment to make their debut together in honour of all the Palladium legends that have come before them like Bruce Forsyth, Des O’ Connor, Ken Dodd and Norman Wisdom.
Audiences can expect big laughter, hilarious comedy routines, spectacular musical performances, and exciting surprises as YouGov’s 2nd most popular comedian, Bradley Walsh hosts and his long-time friends Joe, Shane and Brian join him along the way to add their much-loved magic to the showbiz sparkle.
The fab-four formed their unique bond 40 years ago, treading the boards of regional theatres, appearing in comedy fringe shows, late-night telly specials, and even at holiday camps (in fact all four are ex-Pontins Bluecoats) – all have gone on to become some of Britain’s biggest entertainment stars.
Whilst they have never performed together as a variety quartet their paths have crossed on stage and screen many times:
Joe and Brian have made side-splitting appearances on ‘The Celebrity Chase’ and ‘Tonight At The Palladium’ whilst Shane was first seen with Bradley in the 1989 ITV quiz show ‘You Must Be Joking’ and they went on to play brothers in mystery soap ‘Night and Day’.
The incredible DNA behind these relationships is even more intriguing:
Pasquale and Walsh met at a talent show in 1982, where they were both beaten to the winning post by an orchestra (so now they’ve added an orchestra to their show). Conley and Walsh were ushers at each other’s weddings and lived on the same street, having been mistaken for each other ever since. Whilst Richie and Walsh met whilst doing gigs around Watford and the South East in 1984.
Half of the pack have ventured out recently with their own live shows. Joe Pasquale’s tour, ‘The New Normal – 40 years of cack’ continues from April and Brian Conley’s currently on the road with his ‘The 3rd Farewell Tour’.
Whilst the other half are reigning telly kings, Bradley hosting the smash hit reboot of the BBC’s ‘Gladiators’, and about to record another series of the iconic ‘Blankety Blank’. Shane’s an award-winning face on the box with appearances including ITV’s ‘Benidorm’.
Bradley Walsh said: “I’ve been waiting for this moment for so long and now it’s here at The Iconic London Palladium. We’ve known each other since we were babies in this game. I’m going to love every second and hope you do too. See you at The Palladium!!”
Shane Richie mentioned: “I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday night than with three old friends (And trust me they are older than me!) Having a drink and telling a few stories. Singing a few songs and maybe a joke or two, and this is just in the dressing-room. I ain’t got a clue what we are going to do on stage? But I guarantee it’ll be a riot!”
Joe Pasquale squeaked in: “I’m so excited to be a part of this show. The last time all of us were together on stage was at the 1993 Royal Variety Show! To be on stage with your peers at the most famous theatre in the world fills me with so much joy in my little belly, that I wake up in the middle of the night with excitement at the prospect of being on that stage with my mates.”
And Brian Conley added: “I bluffed my way into being a Pontins’ Bluecoat when I was just a kid of 16, and I’ve been in entertainment ever since. These guys are like family and it’s a great privilege to be sharing the stage with them at the London Palladium.”
Literally anything could happen, make sure you get a ticket to witness the fun. For one night only, you can catch the all star dream team of Bradley Walsh and Friends on stage at The London Palladium on Saturday 30th March.
