Keith Bishop, helping football change children’s Lives – step-by-step
On 13th June, the inimitable Keith Bishop will join the Barcelona leg of The Street Child World Cup Marathon walk.
Together the dynamic duo will be enduring scorching temperatures as they walk 26.2 miles through Catalonia’s beautiful capital.
As anyone who knows Keith will agree, he has a big heart and is always willing to help others.
The Street Child World Cup resonates with both Keith’s and Alan’s love of ‘the beautiful game’ as well as concern for the safety and welfare of kids.
The charity cares for kids from 19 countries. Many don’t even hold passports or have birth certificates. Through football, they begin to be recognised and respected as human beings.
Speaking about the cause, Keith explains how:
“Street Child provides a voice for girls and boys at risk on the streets. It transforms people’s perceptions of each other by getting the world to look at the children differently through the universal game of football. This helps them integrate and feel valued.”
The Challenge aims to increase awareness of issues and raise £100,000 so that Street Child United can continue its vital work.
